Coca-Cola Calendars
For many years a very popular form of advertising has been creating calendars that would help to get the brand name of a certain company out to the public. For Coca-Cola, creating calendars goes back almost as far as the company itself. It didn't take the company long to find out that they needed to advertise in order to succeed so in 1891 they introduced the first Coke calendar to the public. Often these early calendars would portray different items that were prominent in that day. For example, at the close of WWI, Coke calendars portrayed military men and equipment to signal that the war was over.

Other Coke calendars depicted various sports and some also featured Coca-Cola artwork by artists like Normal Rockwell. Antique Coke calendars so have significant value and collectors have been known to pay in excess of $10,000 for an old Coca-Cola calendar. One of the issues that affects collecting calendars is that they are made of paper, which is very fragile. They need to be cared for and stored properly and handled with extreme care if you want your calendar to remain in good condition and hold its value.
